It is filled with WONDERFUL talent. But I think that ive run into a lot of people who cant appreciate any honest reviews, and then they get their buddies to defend them. It kind of makes me sad. The only real heart of newgrounds is the flash portal. Art comes last on here.. so id expect people to appreciate the critique. >>

Insulting me personally for simple critique that you can just ignore makes you look like an idiot. You wont have your buddies defending you forever.

In a way this is a personal note.

I hate that.
People need to hear some sort of criticism so they know what they did wrong and then can find a way to improve.
Not just blast the person for criticizing them.

Yea, I admit Ive been harsh, but their responses can be a personal attack and it becomes ridiculously immature. I hate it :(

Don't take it personally. I stopped reviewing over two years ago because most of the artists will rage at any review that doesn't praise it. Heck, I bet if you reviewed "This art is amazing! You are the best artist ever!" for a lot of art, some of those people would respond with "I know"

Your art is good. You just have to find a style that is unique and eventually youll get scouted. :)

I think it has potential. I can see it. If you work on adding other objects in your images like maybe weird creatures or something, it would really make it unique and you could start getting some good views. Just an idea though : D Reminds me of hippie art styles. Which I like :)

And I get this weird hippie vibe whenever I make them.

I dont have much of a preference but, "I dont know what to call this" is a very nice piece. :) Same with the Color Box.

Sorry to hear that - I've had pretty good luck reviewing artists here and they've taken the good, bad and ugly pretty well. Any new work coming, I ask greedily?

Hey what do you think is worse? When that happens. Or when you work really hard on a cartoon, or art piece. And someone that hates all your work leaves a detailed insulting critique on it that's way overexagerated, and then they get all their buddies to leave essay-like reviews as well. It's very depressing. ):

I actually think the Audio portal comes last.

I would say so, but audio gets used in a lot of flash submission. Art is almost a whole separate thing. But yes, DA is a GIANT hugbox.

True but there is no motivation for non-animators to visit the audio portal because everyone has their favorite bands already and nobody wants to plow through hundreds of songs to find something they like. There are no thumbnails for songs you can just skip through like in the art portal (Not to mention the redesign will bring bigger thumbnails for the flash portal too) All in all I think the audio portal is not very user-friendly because you never know what you're gonna listen to.
