well am planning to make a game for my next flash thing, i mean it might end up like crap but I am doing this for class and I want to learn all I can about flash, if anyone has any tips or any good tutorials I should look at let me know! ^^

not sure what type of game you want to create, but NG has some good tutorials. Just type "platformer tutorial" in the search bar or something. Here's a particularly good one.
